A recurring trend: Many are stocking up on essential items like skincare, baby necessities, and cat litter at discounted rates. Of course, a few impulse purchases have occurred because “why not, it’s on sale.” Headphone discounts are particularly attractive right now. Here’s a glimpse of our Prime Day buys thus far.
1. Some butter yellow headphones
Deputy Shopping and Reviews Editor Miller Kern snagged these “gorgina” Sony headphones as she sought budget-friendly headphones for walks and is fond of the color. They are an easy purchase at only $38, setting a new record low.
2. And some Apple AirPods for good measure
Kern also acquired a pair of Apple AirPods 4, which have plummeted to a new all-time low of $89 at Amazon and Walmart. The ANC and Pro versions are also now more affordable than ever. She intends to gift them to her boyfriend, who isn’t a fan of tangled wired earbuds during his runs.
3. TikTok’s go-to brush for wavy hair
Shopping Reporters Leah Stodart and Bethany Allard both purchased the Bounce Curl Define EdgeLift Brush, acclaimed on TikTok for enhancing curls in naturally wavy hair. Mashable Contributor Christina Buff also has it in her cart. It is at its lowest price ever.
4. A three-pack of mascara remover
Allard discovered this three-pack of her preferred waterproof mascara remover for about $25, a fantastic deal considering one tube typically costs $12-14. It’s on sale for the first time.
5. Some high-end moisturizer
Stodart has been using this moisturizer since 2021 for its gentle formula, perfect for sensitive skin barriers. A 3.4-ounce bottle retails for $51 on the Stratia website, but is 20% off on Amazon during Prime Day. It has never been discounted there before.
6. A huge bundle of diapers and baby wipes
Special Projects Editor Nicole Cammorata spotted these Pampers diapers and baby wipes at an excellent bundle price on Amazon. They have never been cheaper than this week.
7. Ten pounds of natural kitty litter
Stodart, a two-cat owner, endorses this $10 ten-pound bag of “classic CCL (corn cob litter).” It becomes less expensive with repeat deliveries.
8. A gigantic Yankee candle
Kern replenished her favorite Yankee Candle in the Pink Sands fragrance. It’s one of nearly two dozen 22-ounce Yankee candles that are significantly reduced for Prime Day.
9. A pack of bug bite patches
Buff’s sister gifted her one of these itch relief patches for a mosquito bite, and it proved effective. She stocked up while they’re discounted. A 36-pack is just $8, a record low.
10. A lightweight beach tent
Living by the coast, I have been searching for a portable sun shelter. I found a more affordable option compared to Baggu’s tent on Amazon. I opted for the four-person size for friends and snacks. At $48.99, this Prime Day deal surpasses its previous record-low by $7.
