In the realm of open earbuds, it appears that more choices are being released daily. While the Bose Ultra Open earbuds are one of the most sought-after models, Sony’s latest product, the Sony LinkBuds Clip, deserves a closer examination. Similar to the Bose buds, they feature a clip design aimed at enhancing comfort. Also akin to the Bose buds, they deliver outstanding sound quality. Mashable contributor Simon Cohen noted in his review of the buds, “With the possible exception of Bose’s Ultra Open Earbuds ($299), the LinkBuds Clip are the finest [open earbuds] I’ve experienced.” On sale, they are also over $100 less expensive than the Bose buds, so second-best in audio quality hardly feels like a compromise here.
