“28 Years Later Trailer Is So Powerful, You May Require a Pain Reliever”

28 Years Later — the eagerly awaited 2025 installment and the second sequel to one of the most legendary British horror films ever created — has just released a new trailer, and it’s as spine-chilling as you would anticipate.

Director Danny Boyle and screenwriter Alex Garland reunite for this continuation of 2002’s 28 Days Later and 2007’s 28 Weeks Later. Set nearly thirty years following the initial outbreak, the film features Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer, and Ralph Fiennes, and guarantees a relentless return to the virus-infested landscape that began it all.

The trailer begins in what appears to be a secure sanctuary — a fortified island settlement where survivors have managed to establish a delicate existence. However, when two villagers set out to the mainland for unknown reasons, the suspense intensifies. What ensues is a chilling glimpse into a realm still tormented by the infected.

Filmed on an iPhone 15 Pro Max, the trailer is filled with heart-stopping visuals: zombies crashing through stained glass windows, a priest lost in ecstasy, monstrous shapes racing across open fields, and ominous mounds of skulls. It’s a sensory explosion of terror, chaos, and adrenaline — and it appears utterly essential.

28 Years Later premieres in theaters on June 20. Get ready.
