The White Lotus Season 3 Finale Trailer Hints at Twists, Threats, and Potential Fatalities
The trailer for The White Lotus Season 3 finale has been released, prompting fans to scrutinize every detail for insights. With only one episode remaining, tensions are escalated, and the teaser foreshadows some startling twists.
As the season rushes toward its finale, audiences are left grappling with numerous unresolved questions: Is Belinda threatened by Greg? What lies behind Rick and Jim Hollinger’s enigmatic relationship? And, of course, who may not make it through?
Although the trailer is somewhat vague, it does provide a handful of intriguing clues. From dubious smoothies to fraught standoffs, here are the most significant insights.
The Lethal Smoothie
The Ratliff family’s predicament is already grim, but the finale trailer implies things could spiral further. Tim (Jason Isaacs), who has been wrestling with dark thoughts regarding his family, is seen questioning hotel employee and “health butler” Pam (Morgana O’Reilly) about the toxic pong pong tree — the same one Saxon encountered in the season’s premiere.
“Locals actually refer to it as the suicide tree,” Pam cautions. “So don’t consume it.”
The warning grows more foreboding as the trailer shifts to a scene of Saxon blending one of his renowned smoothies. Could this be a lethal mixture?
Jim Hollinger Makes a Comeback
A fleeting moment in the trailer captures Sritala (Lek Patravadi) and her spouse Jim Hollinger back at the White Lotus resort. This is noteworthy, considering Rick (Walton Goggins) recently confronted Jim at gunpoint in Bangkok.
Unexpectedly, Jim’s return might actually indicate Rick’s safety — at least for the moment. If Jim genuinely intended to eliminate Rick, it seems improbable he would execute the plan himself or at his own establishment. Perhaps he’s returned to expose more about the enigmatic Gloria Hatchett and her link to Rick.
Belinda Declines Greg’s Proposition
In episode 7, Greg (Jon Gries) proposed to Belinda (Natasha Rothwell) a sum of $100,000 as hush money. In the trailer, Belinda approaches him once again — this time accompanied by her son Zion (Nicholas Duvernay) — and seemingly turns down the offer.
“I’m not engaging in this,” she states. “It’s pointless.”
The trailer also depicts Greg back at the White Lotus, casually sipping a drink and appearing suspiciously composed. Could he be scheming something more malevolent? Is he leveraging the hotel as an alibi?
Frank’s Breaking Point
Frank (Sam Rockwell) appeared to be a fleeting character, but the trailer hints he’s not finished yet. We witness him meditating — followed by a far more intense scene of him violently cutting into furniture in a hotel room.
Is he expressing his frustration due to a relapse? Or is he searching for something concealed? Regardless, his unpredictable actions raise the possibility that he could be returning to the resort — and potentially honing in on Rick in the process.
With so many narrative threads converging, the Season 3 finale of The White Lotus is set to deliver a dramatic and perhaps fatal climax.
The White Lotus Season 3 is currently available for streaming on Max, with new episodes debuting Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
