Need a translation? With the latest iOS 26 from Apple, it has never been simpler.
During its WWDC keynote on Monday, Apple showcased a variety of new Live Translation capabilities integrated into iOS, driven by proprietary models that operate on iPhones.
Now, Live Translation can seamlessly convert your messages in Messages, provide real-time captions in FaceTime, and even translate your phone conversations as you speak. In this scenario, the individual on the other end of the call will simply hear a verbal, translated rendition of what you expressed.
The best part: This feature will function even if you’re calling someone without an iPhone.
Apple also announced the introduction of a new Call Translation API, allowing developers to incorporate this technology into their applications.
