Is Your iPhone Receiving iOS 26? View the List

Apple is preparing to unveil a major new version of iOS later this year, but as is customary, some iPhones will not be compatible with the new operating system, leaving them behind in the Apple ecosystem.

Tim Cook and his team revealed iOS 26 during Apple’s annual WWDC keynote livestream on Monday. This latest iOS version features updates such as the “Liquid Glass” design language, improved live translation, and a necessary reorganization of the Camera and Photos applications. Significantly, Apple has transitioned from iOS 18 to iOS 26, adopting a title system based on years instead of version numbers.

Nevertheless, this announcement is somewhat disappointing for certain iPhone users. Each new iteration of iOS signifies that older iPhones will stop receiving major software updates, prompting users to buy newer models. Here’s the list of iPhones compatible with iOS 26 for those interested in their older devices.

Every iPhone that supports iOS 26:

– iPhone SE (second generation and later only)
– iPhone 11, Pro, and Pro Max
– iPhone 12, Mini, Pro, and Pro Max
– iPhone 13, Mini, Pro, and Pro Max
– iPhone 14, Plus, Pro, and Pro Max
– iPhone 15, Plus, Pro, and Pro Max
– iPhone 16, Plus, Pro, and Pro Max
– iPhone 16e

You can also anticipate that the unannounced iPhone 17 will be included. This indicates that any iPhone model prior to the iPhone 11 is unsupported. Owners of the iPhone X series who received iOS 18 last year will need to upgrade to take advantage of the new features in iOS 26. Furthermore, Apple Intelligence capabilities will be further limited to iPhone 15 and 16 models (until the 17 is revealed).

There is currently no official release date for iOS 26, but it is projected to be launched before the year concludes.
