Instagram is providing users with enhanced control over their self-expression, beginning with a highly sought-after feature: grid personalization.
Effective today, users can reorganize posts on their profile grid, enabling them to modify how their content is displayed to followers. Whether you want a tidy aesthetic, to create a personal collection, or to conceal a post that disrupts your vibe, you now have authority over your profile’s look.
The update brings forth a range of new features as part of Instagram’s initiative to foster more creativity on the platform. In conjunction with this, Instagram is unveiling new tools to elevate self-expression, including better integration between Instagram Notes and Spotify.
Users can now directly share their Spotify listening activity into Instagram Notes, reminiscent of the MySpace days when your favorite track was an integral part of your online persona. It’s a convenient way to set the tone or display your current favorite. If that favorite happens to be Tyler, the Creator, you’ll unlock a temporary secret visual effect in your Notes by playing his music.
Instagram is also rolling out handwritten fonts, a new collection of fonts for Stories and Reels inspired by the handwriting of cherished creatives. The launch begins with Rosalía’s distinctive script, available starting June 20.
