VidCon 2025: Anticipations

Content creation can often be perceived as a solitary venture, even though it revolves around community, as much of the engagement takes place online. In 2009, John and Hank Green, the creators of the Vlogbrothers YouTube channel, sought to alter this.

“A few months back, [my brother] John and I concluded that we were quite intrigued by the idea of organizing a genuine online video conference, to bring all the leading online video creators together in a single location,” Hank Green mentioned at the time, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. “Online video is incredibly significant these days — we have YouTube personalities with audiences larger than Oprah or Anderson Cooper.”

Thus, the inaugural VidCon was created.

What Is VidCon?

Established in 2010, VidCon became the first prominent convention for online video creators and their followers. It brought together influencers, industry insiders, and viewers for panels, performances, meet-and-greets, and conversations about the direction of digital media.

Now, 15 years on, VidCon continues to thrive, illustrating how online content creation has evolved from a niche passion to a worldwide industry.

When is VidCon 2025?

This year’s VidCon is set to take place from June 19-21 in Anaheim, California. Mashable will be at the Anaheim Convention Center, interacting with your favorite creators and reporting on the latest trends.

What are the three tracks at VidCon?

This year, VidCon includes three tracks: Community, Creator, and Industry.

The community track is tailored for fans, featuring meet-and-greets, Q&As, and panels with creators. It’s the most affordable track, with single-day tickets starting at $96 and multi-day passes at $175.

The creator track is crafted for creators, offering access to community track events, along with workshops, panels, lounges, and mentorship sessions. Multi-day tickets begin at $268.

The industry track, the priciest option, is targeted at “creator economy leaders” and presents numerous networking chances. Multi-day tickets start at $1,130.

Which creators will be at VidCon?

VidCon will host creators, Hall of Fame inductees, and ticket holders. Coinciding with YouTube’s 20th anniversary, expect iconic names in the lineup.

The inaugural VidCon Hall of Fame honors creators like Rhett & Link, Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla, Tyler Oakley, Grace Helbig, Joey Graceffa, Rosanna Pansino, and Hank Green.
