Watch Stormzy’s Short Film “Big Man” Filmed with iPhone 16 Pro

Capturing movies on iPhone is increasingly becoming popular, as Stormzy unveiled a short film entirely filmed with the iPhone 16 Pro on Wednesday.

Big Man was helmed by Aneil Karia (The Long Goodbye) and lensed by director of photography Stuart Bentley (We Live in Time) utilizing the iPhone’s Cinematic Mode in 4K at 120 frames per second. The 20-minute short depicts rap artist Tenzman (portrayed by Stormzy), who is going through a lackluster phase in his profession. Upon meeting two children running a fraudulent sponsorship scheme, they set off on a road trip to Brighton, resulting in unforeseen camaraderie.

The film was produced by Stormzy’s #Merky Films, which was launched on June 11, alongside Apple and Somesuch, the production firm responsible for Harris Dickinson’s directorial debut Urchin.

Big Man is available for streaming on Apple’s YouTube channel or above.
