Leaked Images of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 Show Unexpected Design Modification

Samsung has not yet made an official statement regarding its upcoming foldable devices, but rumors are surfacing as the date draws near. The most recent leaks, reported by Android Headlines, consist of rendered images of the new Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. These devices seem to retain the same form factors as their predecessors; the Fold is a standard-sized phone that opens up into a mini-tablet, while the Flip is a regular-sized phone that folds into a clamshell design. The leaked visuals showcase the devices in blue and black, although Android Headlines indicates that additional colors may be offered during their expected launch this summer.

In addition to both devices appearing sleeker than their predecessors (a fact confirmed by Samsung), the key feature is that the Z Fold 7 includes a hole-punch selfie camera, in contrast to the under-display camera found in the Z Fold 6. The effect on photo and video quality is yet to be determined, but it may not appear as polished as it did previously. Samsung could have implemented this alteration to preserve the thin profile of the phones, though the renders do not specify whether the Z Flip 7 possesses this feature.

On a positive note, the Flip 7’s external cover display appears to be larger than that of the Flip 6. Speculations indicate that Samsung will unveil these devices this summer, and further updates will be provided as more details emerge.
