It has been a while since we’ve encountered a true black iPhone Pro (not to be confused with the Black Titanium of the iPhone 16 Pro), and it might be the right moment to bring that color back.

Leaker Majin Bu has revealed pictures of the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Air in Black, and they appear remarkably elegant in that hue. The redesigned, larger camera bump, envisioned as black glass against the iPhone’s matte black finish, amplifies that elegance. To put it simply, if James Bond were to own an iPhone 17, this would undoubtedly be his preferred color.

These are likely not real devices; they’re probably dummy units derived from earlier leaks and speculation regarding the potential look of the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Air. Bu has previously posted a video of himself with a dummy model of the iPhone 17 Pro Max in white.

Does this indicate that the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Air will come in this new, all-black hue? It remains unclear. In April, Bu hinted that a new color for the iPhone 17 Pro would be Sky Blue, and while black and white remain timeless options, it’s uncertain whether Bu’s dummy models are rooted in actual leaks or simply imaginative designs.

All of this is still entirely unofficial, and the iPhone 17 Pro (along with the speculated iPhone 17 Air) might look entirely different from these dummies. We will find out in September, when Apple traditionally presents new iPhones.
