What is Connections Sports Edition?
The NYT‘s newest daily word game was launched in partnership with The Athletic, the New York Times entity that delivers sports news. Players can engage in Connections through web browsers and mobile gadgets, where they must classify four words that have a shared connection.

Each puzzle contains 16 words, split into four groups. These categories may encompass anything from book titles, software, names of countries, etc. Even though various words may appear to fit, there is only one right combination.
If a player accurately groups all four words in a category, those words are eliminated from the game board. An incorrect guess counts as a mistake—players can make up to four mistakes before the game concludes.

Players can also rearrange and shuffle the board to facilitate finding connections. Furthermore, each group is color-coded, with yellow representing the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Similar to Wordle, you can share your outcomes with friends on social media.
