One aspect of Target is that it rewards you for buying everyday items you would purchase anyway. Another complimentary gift card promotion is on again, this time concentrating on end-of-summer occasions and back-to-school: Earn a $15 gift card when you spend $50 on household essentials like sandwich bags, Clorox wipes, Tide pens, Kleenex, Zevo bug traps, and more, in addition to the usual laundry, bathroom, and kitchen supplies.

This offer is applicable both in-store and online; however, be aware that the gift card will only be activated after your $50+ transaction—so you’ll need to use it for a future shopping visit. It can be utilized on any item at Target, and consider how many products are $15 or less at Target. Now, they are somewhat complimentary.

You must be a Target Circle member to take advantage of this promotion. Unlike Amazon Prime, joining Target Circle is entirely free. There is also a premium tier, Target 360, which provides benefits such as free 2-day shipping on all products and same-day delivery from Target and other local stores. However, if you’re satisfied with just being part of all the free gift card promotions that Target provides (which probably happen at least monthly), the free version of Target Circle is a great membership to have.
