Why Did Microsoft Secretly Launch the Smurface, a Smurfs Notebook?

Are you seeking a new laptop and have a love for small blue beings with white hats? You’re in luck. Microsoft has unveiled the Surface Laptop “Smurface Edition,” a unique 13-inch PC adorned with laser-engraved Smurfs on its cover. This exclusive edition is a partnership with the latest Smurfs film that debuted on July 18. Mashable has reached out to Microsoft for additional details.

While Microsoft has not formally announced the Surface Laptop Smurface Edition on its channels, it was discovered on Amazon on July 29. This is a limited offer with only 100 units up for grabs. As of now, 87 are still available to add to your cart, showing that some have already been sold.

You can also participate for a chance to win a Surface Laptop Smurface Edition via the Microsoft Rewards program, which rewards points for activities such as gaming, purchases from the Microsoft Store, and searches on Bing. The sweepstakes concludes on August 14.

The lid design of the Smurface Edition is its primary feature that sets it apart from the typical 13-inch Surface Laptop, which was introduced in May. It is equipped with an eight-core Snapdragon X Plus processor and a 60Hz touchscreen display with a resolution of 1920 x 1280. These specifications are somewhat lower than the premium 13.8-inch Surface Laptop 7, but the smaller version offers an extended battery life of up to 23 hours per charge.

The Surface Laptop Smurface Edition comes with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS storage, retailing at $999.99, identical to the standard variant. Smurftastic!
