iOS 26 Enhances iPhone’s Low-Battery Animation

The public beta for iOS 26 is now accessible, with users delving into an array of new functionalities, including its Liquid Glass aesthetic and revamped messaging and phone capabilities. A significant change involves the method in which users receive low battery alerts.

As highlighted by 9to5Mac, the low-battery notification in iOS 26 beta 5 includes “a red circle animation that looks like a radar pulse.” A video on Threads showcases this animation emerging from the dynamic island.

This isn’t the sole update related to battery for iPhones running iOS 26. The system will notify you if your battery consumption exceeds normal levels and pinpoint which application is responsible for the drain, as reported by Mashable in June. It will also predict the duration required to completely charge your phone once plugged in. Furthermore, iOS 26 brings an Adaptive Power mode that modifies your iPhone’s performance according to your usage habits to improve battery longevity, as previously noted by Mashable.

To try out the new battery functionalities, you can sign up for Apple’s beta program. If not, you might need to wait a few months, as Apple revealed at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference in early June that iOS 26 is set for a public launch in the fall.
