*Connections: Sports Edition* is a fresh iteration of the beloved *New York Times* word game aimed at gauging sports enthusiasts’ knowledge. Like the original *Connections*, it centers on discovering “common threads among words.” Comparable to *Wordle*, *Connections* resets at midnight, with each new word set presenting increased difficulty. We’ve included some hints and advice to assist you.

If you’re looking for today’s puzzle solution, jump to the end of this article. Otherwise, keep reading for hints, tips, and tactics.

**What is Connections Sports Edition?**

The *NYT*’s newest daily word game, launched in partnership with *The Athletic*, can be played on web browsers and mobile devices. Participants must categorize four words with a shared connection.

Each puzzle features 16 words split into four groups. These categories may encompass anything from book titles to country names. While many words may appear related, there is only one accurate answer.

When players successfully categorize all four words, those words are taken off the board. A wrong guess is counted as a mistake, with a maximum of four mistakes allowed before the game concludes.

Players have the option to shuffle the board to identify connections more effectively. Each group is color-coded: yellow is the simplest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Similar to *Wordle*, you can share your results on social media.
