Seth Meyers Mocks Trump’s Announcement for Hosting at the Kennedy Center

In a recent press briefing, President Donald Trump revealed that he will be the host of the forthcoming Kennedy Center Honors, recounting how he had turned down the invitation multiple times before eventually agreeing to it. Seth Meyers responded to the video on *Late Night*, voicing his doubts. “I think you should win the award for best original screenplay, because that’s clearly a fabricated discussion that never took place,” Meyers said, before impersonating Trump. “They said ‘Sir, we wish for you to host,’ and I responded ‘You’re idiots, I’m so tied up,’ and they insisted ‘The viewership will be massive because everyone adores you!’ and I replied ‘That’s accurate,’ and I asked ‘What should I wear?’ and they said ‘Don’t fret, we’ll craft a special tuxedo that’s large enough for your exceptionally sizable penis — their words, not mine on that, they caught on — and I responded ‘Fine, if that’s what you say.'” This is not the first instance of Meyers criticizing a Trump press conference, and it probably won’t be his last.
