Peacock Price Hike: Discover the Updated Rate

In July, the streaming platform Peacock raised its rates for new users. While these amendments initially didn’t impact existing users, Peacock has revealed that the increase will extend to all users starting Aug. 22.

This indicates that the new pricing will be applied on your upcoming billing date or, if you’re availing a promotional deal, at the conclusion of that offer.

As Aug. 22 approaches and the new costs loom, let’s examine the future pricing for Peacock.

What is the cost of Peacock?

The ad-supported monthly Premium tier of Peacock is set to rise from $7.99 to $10.99 per month, while the annual Premium option will go from $79.99 to $109.99 per year.

The monthly Premium Plus plan, which features no ads, will jump from $13.99 to $16.99 per month, and the yearly Premium Plus plan will increase from $139.99 to $169.99 annually.

This price hike positions Peacock’s ad-supported tier above Netflix’s ($7.99 per month), HBO Max’s ($9.99 per month, $99.99 per year), Disney+’s ($9.99 per month), Hulu’s ($9.99 per month, $99.99 per year), and Paramount+’s ($7.99 per month).

The ad-free tier is also pricier than Disney+’s ($15.99 per month, $159.99 per year) and Paramount+’s ($12.99 per month). However, it remains cheaper than Netflix’s ($17.99 per month) and Hulu’s ($18.99 per month), and it aligns with HBO Max’s pricing ($16.99 per month, $169.99 per year).

There exists a fifth, more economical subscription level called the Select Tier, which encompasses NBC’s current seasons and library, including Law & Order, The Office, and the Chicago series; Bravo’s current seasons and library, featuring The Real Housewives series; various TV libraries like Days of Our Lives and Yellowstone; and select channels like The Office Channel and NBC News Now Channel.

Nevertheless, the Select Tier does not include Peacock’s movie library, sports and live events, Peacock originals, movie channels, or your local NBC channel.
