Sony and Arrowhead Game Studios have revealed the inaugural Legendary Warbond for Helldivers 2, featuring a collaboration with Microsoft’s Halo 3: ODST. The Warbond will launch on August 26, just ahead of Helldivers 2’s release on Xbox Series X/S. It comes with four weapons, four vehicle skins, an armor passive, two banners, two capes, one player title, and two armor sets influenced by New Mombasa. Both ODSTs and Helldivers are fighters deployed from orbit, making this partnership appropriate. This is Arrowhead’s first Legendary-tier Warbond, priced at 1,500 Super Credits ($15), which is higher than the typical Premium tier at 1,000 credits ($10). Unlike standard battle passes, Warbonds in Helldivers 2 do not expire, allowing players to acquire them at a later time. This signifies the game’s initial crossover with a Microsoft brand. The earlier Killzone Warbond received backlash for overpriced cosmetics sold separately for 2,000 SC ($20). Arrowhead has responded by providing a more conventional full pack this time.
