Google hosted a glitzy Made By Google event on Wednesday, revealing a variety of new products that could revolutionize how you charge your Pixel phone. Alongside the Pixel 10 smartphones and Pixel Watch 4, Google introduced its Pixelsnap products, designed with magnets to secure and support your phone. This collection is Google’s answer to Apple’s well-liked MagSafe charging, enabling you to effortlessly attach your phone to a charger with assurance that it will stay upright and charge effectively. Based on my personal experience with MagSafe, this could be a noteworthy enhancement, particularly for viewing videos or conducting video calls without a stand.

The Pixelsnap accessories were highlighted at the Made by Google 2025 event. Google is not just copying MagSafe; the new Pixel 10 smartphones feature magnets in their build to guarantee compatibility with the new Qi2 wireless charging standard, which utilizes magnets for correct alignment between devices and chargers.

At the event, Google introduced a Pixelsnap charger, a charger/stand combo, and a PopSocket-like ring stand. All three are up for pre-order and will be available starting Aug. 28.
