Watching the complete NFL season in 2025 can be challenging, particularly if you reside outside the region of your preferred team. Accessing games that are not available in your market can be especially difficult and expensive for NFL fans.
Before you decide on a pay TV provider or streaming service, verify which games are available in and out of your local market. You wouldn’t want to spend $60 on an annual Paramount+ subscription or $199 on the new Fox One streaming service just to find out that the games you are interested in are blacked out.
**In-market vs. Out-of-market NFL Games**
In-market games are broadcasts of local teams or those that are geographically nearest to you, typically shown on CBS and Fox during Sunday afternoons. Out-of-market games, on the other hand, are those occurring outside your specified broadcast area and are often blacked out in favor of the in-market games. For instance, as a fan of the Baltimore Ravens living in Nashville, Tennessee, the Tennessee Titans are considered my local team, resulting in their games being in-market for me on Sundays. If both teams compete at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, I can only view the Titans, as the Ravens fall into the out-of-market category and are blacked out.

**Watching Out-of-market NFL Games**
If you reside outside your team’s region, typical streaming platforms such as ESPN, Paramount+, and YouTube TV will not be available for out-of-market games. The legitimate way to view these games is through NFL Sunday Ticket, a premium sports package that broadcasts NFL regular season games that are not accessible on local channels. This package includes regional Sunday afternoon games on Fox and CBS. NFL Sunday Ticket can be utilized as an individual channel on YouTube or as an add-on for YouTube TV.
**NFL Sunday Ticket Costs**
NFL Sunday Ticket comes with a high price tag unless you are a new subscriber. Until August 31, new users can purchase it as an individual channel on YouTube or as a YouTube TV add-on for $276 for the regular season (8 payments of $34.50/month). Returning customers will pay $480 for the individual channel (8 payments of $60/month) or $378 for the YouTube TV add-on (8 payments of $47.25/month).
