Apple unveiled a variety of new products this week, featuring the iPhone 17 and Watch Series 11. Among these is the AirPods Pro 3, representing a major enhancement to Apple’s earbuds. With a price tag of $249, the AirPods Pro 3 boasts foam ear tips, improved active noise control, and health and fitness features such as heart rate tracking.

The AirPods Pro 3 also offers Live Translation, powered by Apple Intelligence. This capability enables the earbuds to listen and convert audio into different languages, providing instantaneous audio translations and showing them on a smartphone.

“It doesn’t merely translate single words,” stated Kate Bergeron, Apple’s vice president of hardware engineering, during Tuesday’s event. “The significance of each phrase is conveyed for you. When it’s time to converse, just talk naturally.”

Live Translation will initially accommodate English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish, with additional languages expected to be incorporated later this year. Social media users have already begun crafting memes, envisioning the AirPods Pro 3 decoding everything from corporate buzzwords to real estate terminology.

Apple’s AirPods Pro 3 will be released starting Sept. 19.
