Xiaomi has bold ambitions for its forthcoming Xiaomi 17 Pro flagship. The choice to bypass the Xiaomi 16 Pro and leap from 15 to 17 highlights Xiaomi’s aim to rival Apple’s iPhone 17. While the name shift is expected, the device itself promises to be notably different from others.

Xiaomi’s official Weibo page recently released a teaser video that displays the Xiaomi 17 Pro from the rear, showcasing a significant camera bump equipped with a dual camera setup and an additional display. This screen, known as the “Magic Back Screen,” is vibrant and high definition, capable of showing essential information such as the time and weather, and enhancing the selfie-taking experience.

Both the Xiaomi 17 Pro and the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max will feature the “Magic Back Screen.” Xiaomi intends to unveil multiple devices this month, including the worldwide launch of the Xiaomi 15T models alongside the new Xiaomi 17 Pro series.
