Stranger Things 5 Featurette Hints at Largest Season to Date

Netflix’s Emmy-winning show *Stranger Things* wraps up this year, and a new featurette showcases the cast and crew reminiscing about the series while teasing what Season 5 will entail. The featurette opens with fond recollections from the inaugural season, featuring David Harbour (Jim Hopper) and the young actors reflecting on their relationships formed on set. Fans will be especially thrilled by the previews of the fifth and culminating season.

This upcoming season, characterized by the creators the Duffer Brothers as “the largest season we’ve ever produced,” takes place in the autumn of 1987, more than a year following the events of Season 4. Hawkins is shaken by the Upside Down breaches initiated by Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower), and the community is under military lockdown. The government continues to seek Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), forcing her into seclusion as she and her companions prepare for their ultimate confrontation with Vecna.

The featurette hints at the grand scale of this conflict, featuring explosive scenes, car pursuits, and the menacing red energy from the Upside Down endangering the protagonists. “Season 5 is more of an adventure and more of a mission, which I truly appreciate,” Brown remarks in the featurette. “Everyone is really thrown into the thick of it. No one is standing back with a walkie talkie.”

Volume 1 of *Stranger Things 5* debuts on Netflix on Nov. 26 at 8 p.m. ET. Volume 2 will be released on Dec. 26, with the series finale arriving on Dec. 31.
