Being an NFL enthusiast isn’t inexpensive.
The typical ticket for a game is priced at $279, with the reigning champion Philadelphia Eagles having the highest average at $475. (Go Birds.) (Editor’s note: Go Bills!) Even enjoying games from home isn’t significantly cheaper.
What would be the expense for watching every NFL game on television in the 2025-2026 season? Last year, my estimate was $891.36 to watch all games, and there haven’t been many changes for 2025. Let’s examine it.
The widespread broadcasting of NFL games
In recent times, the NFL has fragmented its television and streaming rights sales, which makes it impossible to catch every game on TV with just one purchase. Passionate football fans must conduct their research and prepare to invest.
This is unfortunate as professional football represents one of the rare elements that brings the nation together. We want and have paid for it. NFL football is perhaps the most significant aspect of U.S. culture. Even Taylor Swift faces critics. Among the ten most-watched television events last year, all were NFL games. Out of the top 50, 32 were NFL games. Such consistent ratings mean that streaming services and networks are keen to obtain a share.
Here’s a list of every entity that has exclusive rights to air at least one NFL game this season:
CBS
FOX
NBC
ABC
ESPN
ESPN+
Amazon
Netflix
Peacock
NFL Network
YouTube
It may be simpler to identify which broadcasters don’t possess a share of the NFL.
