What is Connections?

The NYT‘s most recent daily word game has turned into a phenomenon on social media. The Times attributes the development of this new word game and its addition to the Games section to associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu. Connections is accessible on both web browsers and mobile devices, requiring players to group four words that have a shared theme.

Each puzzle consists of 16 words, categorized into four groups. These categories can encompass various items such as book titles, software, country names, etc. While several words may appear to correlate, only one correct answer exists.

If a player successfully identifies all four words in a category, those words are eliminated from the board. An incorrect guess is recorded as an error—players can make up to four errors before the game concludes.

Players can also rearrange and shuffle the board to facilitate the discovery of connections. Furthermore, each group is designated by color, with yellow being the simplest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Similar to Wordle, you can share your results with friends on social platforms.
