Saturday Night Live’s “Weekend Update” mocked President Donald Trump’s lavish renovation of the White House bathroom amid the government shutdown.

“Critics of President Trump are saying he lacks awareness for sharing photos of his newly updated White House bathroom during the government shutdown,” host Michael Che remarked. “But I’m pleased the floor appears slick.”

This week, Trump released a collection of photos of the revamped Lincoln bathroom.

“I updated the Lincoln Bathroom in the White House,” Trump posted on his conservative platform Truth Social. “It was refurbished in the 1940s with an Art Deco green tile design, which was completely unsuitable for the Lincoln Era.”

SNL’s Update continued to tease Trump this weekend, poking fun at his Halloween celebration at the White House and the repercussions of the shutdown.
