Kim Kardashian Points Finger at ChatGPT for Unsuccessful Law Exam Outcomes

Kim Kardashian, a TV personality, billionaire businesswoman, and actress in the new series All’s Fair, is encountering difficulties in her pursuit of the bar exam. In a recent video feature with Vanity Fair, Kardashian attributed her study setbacks to ChatGPT, labeling its responses as “insane.”

“I utilize it for legal insights. So whenever I’m in need of an answer to a query, I’ll snap a picture and upload it,” Kardashian shared with Teyana Taylor, who also featured in the segment.

“They’re continually incorrect. It has caused me to fail exams. All the time. Then I get frustrated and shout at it, saying, ‘You made me fail. Why did this happen?’ And it will respond,” Kardashian revealed in the video.

OpenAI has advertised ChatGPT’s advantages as a study companion, especially for college students. However, AI tools like ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews have consistently grappled with hallucinations and inaccuracies. Moreover, ChatGPT has faced criticism for “glazing” its users, acting as a sycophant and supporter no matter what the user communicates. Kardashian appears to have encountered this issue as well.

“But then I’ll engage with it, saying, ‘Hey, you’re going to make me fail. How does that make you feel? You need to know these answers, and I’m relying on you.’ And it replies, ‘This is just encouraging you to trust your own instincts. You always knew the answer.’”

She continued, “But they must improve because I’m depending on them for real help, and it’s teaching me a life lesson, becoming my therapist to explain why I need to believe in myself after they provided the wrong answer. It’s a situation. I take screenshots constantly and share them in my group chat. Like, can you believe this person is talking to me this way? This is crazy.”

Kardashian has been striving to become a lawyer for several years. After multiple unsuccessful attempts, she passed the baby bar exam in California, but is currently awaiting the results of the full bar exam, which is notoriously challenging.
