The Vampire Lestat Teaser Exemplifies the Brat Prince

Following two gripping seasons, AMC’s *Interview with the Vampire* is moving from Anne Rice’s initial Vampire Chronicles book to the second, *The Vampire Lestat*. This season is expected to be exhilarating. Lestat de Lioncourt, influenced by Louis, narrates his life story through music, fully embracing his rock star identity. In a fresh teaser, Sam Reid captures Lestat’s extravagant antics, reclining in velvet and expressing dissatisfaction about a lamp and a fern.

“This is precisely the type of room where elderly individuals take you by the hand and say, ‘Please do not let me perish here,'” Lestat comments in the teaser. At the same time, Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian) seems exasperated as he conducts an interview with Lestat on camera, a shift from his previous audio sessions with Louis. Lestat is proving to be quite a challenge for him.

The relevance of the lamp and fern remains ambiguous, yet Reid’s depiction of Lestat is mesmerizing nonetheless. Fans are eagerly anticipating any news from AMC regarding *The Vampire Lestat*, scheduled for release in 2026.
