Microsoft’s Windows President Claims Windows is Evolving into an ‘Agentic OS,’ and the Internet is Rejecting It

It seems that individuals are not particularly excited about an operating system that integrates more AI into the user experience. Pavan Davuluri, the president of Windows and devices at Microsoft, tweeted regarding a company event, mentioning that Windows would soon become more driven by AI. He noted that Windows would evolve to be “agentic,” indicating it could carry out certain tasks independently. “Windows is transforming into an agentic OS, linking devices, cloud, and AI to enhance intelligent productivity and enable secure work anywhere,” he posted on X.

Nonetheless, the reaction to Davuluri’s announcement was not favorable. One response stated, “Stop this nonsense. No one desires this.” Another comment expressed, “It’s turning into a product that’s pushing people towards Mac and Linux.” The overall feedback was mainly negative.

A reply from the account @EricLengyel remarked, “Perhaps you should heed the unanimously negative responses here and modify your objectives accordingly.” That appears to encapsulate the situation.
