What does Connections entail?

The NYT‘s new daily word challenge has turned into a phenomenon on social media. The Times attributes the creation of this new word game and its placement in the publication’s Games section to associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu. Players can access Connections on web browsers and mobile devices, where they need to categorize four words that share a trait.

Each puzzle consists of 16 words split into four categories. These groups can feature anything from book titles to software names or countries. Although several words may appear to align, only one combination is accurate.

If a player successfully identifies all four words in a category, those words are eliminated from play. An incorrect guess is logged as a mistake—players can make up to four errors before the game concludes.

Players have the option to rearrange and shuffle the board to enhance the discovery of connections. Moreover, each group is color-coded: yellow represents the simplest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Similar to Wordle, you’re able to share your results with friends on social platforms.
