With TikTok’s For You Pages already populated with podcast snippets, the social media platform is venturing into the podcast arena. On Friday, TikTok is rolling out the TikTok Podcast Network and a new service named TikTok Radio, both in partnership with iHeartMedia to boost audio-centric content. TikTok Radio aspires to function as a For You Page for both radio and podcasts.
TikTok announced in a press release: “TikTok Radio captures the pace and cultural energy of the For You feed in real time, fusing trending music with insights from TikTok creators and renowned iHeartRadio figures. The station will broadcast live for the first time on March 13 from SXSW and will be accessible via the free iHeartRadio app as well as across 28 broadcast stations nationwide, including New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Nashville, Miami, and more.”
The TikTok Podcast Network is also debuting on Friday with personalities like Lele Pons, Carter Gregory, and Caroline Vazzana launching their own podcasts. The aim is to give fans deeper knowledge about their beloved creators.
