AirDrop isn’t limited to Apple devices. If you’ve grown weary of hearing “Just AirDrop it to me” from Apple users, there’s a workaround. This file-sharing function, recognized for iPhones, iPads, and Macs, is now accessible on certain Pixel devices. Just press the Quick Share button on the item you wish to send to a nearby Apple device, and if their AirDrop settings are enabled, you can transmit the photo or document to them. However, not every Pixel phone is compatible with AirDrop.
Every Pixel phone that supports AirDrop:
– Pixel 9
– Pixel 9 Pro
– Pixel 9 Pro XL
– Pixel 9 Pro Fold
– Pixel 10
– Pixel 10 Pro
– Pixel 10 Pro XL
– Pixel 10 Pro Fold
– Pixel 10a
In summary, it works with the Pixel 9 and Pixel 10 series, excluding the Pixel 9a, which does not have AirDrop support through Quick Share. Those using the Pixel 9a will need to upgrade to access this feature. It’s hoped that Google will continue to include this capability in upcoming Pixel models.
