As the election draws near, a growing number of celebrities are taking aim at **Elon Musk**, an outspoken supporter of **Donald Trump**. Following **Cardi B**, author **Stephen King** has entered the conversation.
King, who has had multiple confrontations with Musk in the past, took to **X** (formerly Twitter) on Sunday evening to charge the tech mogul with disseminating false information ahead of the election.

“The Musk-man has tweeted 3,000 times in the last month,” King commented. “Most of these are pro-Trump disinformation and blatant lies. Keep in mind, he has a vested interest. Evaluate his posts accordingly.”
King’s remark about Musk having “skin in the game” holds truth. Musk publicly backed Trump on **X** in July, contributed millions to a **Trump Super PAC** to aid his re-election, participated in Trump rallies, and even offered substantial incentives to voters in crucial states.
On X, Musk often shares dubious content with his audience of over 200 million followers. He has posted and subsequently removed far-right misinformation, propagated false rumors—such as a bomb being discovered at a Trump rally—and his messages frequently receive **Community Notes** refuting their truthfulness. Musk has also permitted conspiracy theories to thrive on the platform, including following the incident where Trump was shot at during a campaign event in Butler, Pennsylvania. Additionally, Musk incorporated pro-Trump emojis to Trump-related hashtags on X.
In response to King, Musk dismissed the author’s allegation regarding his post count with a laugh but notably did not confront the charges of spreading misinformation.
