A few days prior, a speculation started making the rounds that **Stephen King** had been prohibited from **X (previously Twitter)** after he made a quip about Elon Musk being Donald Trump’s “first lady.”
Nonetheless, King’s X account stayed operational, and in spite of his regular digs at Musk and his reproach of Musk’s backing of Trump, there was no proof of any “first lady” post.
On Wednesday, Stephen King took to X to directly tackle the rumors.
“I notice there’s a speculation circulating that I called the Musk-man Trump’s new first lady. I didn’t, but only because it didn’t occur to me,” King stated. “There’s also a rumor that Muskie booted me off Twitter. Yet here I am.”
Thus, to clarify: Stephen King has not been banned from X, and it appears he has no plans on toning down his criticisms of Musk in the near future.
