Walmart Introduces Black Friday Discounts Throughout the Entire Month, Transforming the Shopping Tradition

**UPDATE: Nov. 13, 2024, 11:05 a.m. EST**
This article has been revised to include further insights regarding Walmart’s inaugural Black Friday Deals event.

Walmart is preparing for the 2024 festive shopping period with two significant “Black Friday Deals” events this November, taking advantage of Black Friday’s unusually late occurrence this year. The retailer’s phased sales will provide early access for Walmart+ subscribers, unexpected deal unveilings, and a broader beta test of its novel AI-driven shopping assistant. To entice new members, Walmart is offering annual Walmart+ subscriptions for only $49 (50% off) until Dec. 2.

### When Do Walmart’s Black Friday Deals Begin?

Walmart’s first Black Friday Deals event commenced on **Monday, Nov. 11** at 12 p.m. ET for Walmart+ subscribers, with the general public getting access at 5 p.m. ET. Noteworthy items from the sale include a **75-inch 4K TV** for $498, a **Keurig** for $30, and historically low prices on the **Apple Watch Series 10**, **AirPods 3**, and the **Dyson V12 Detect Slim**. Certain deals will also be accessible in stores starting at 6 a.m. local time on **Friday, Nov. 15**.

The second Black Friday Deals event is scheduled for **Monday, Nov. 25**, with Walmart+ members once again receiving a five-hour advantage. In-store bargains for this occasion will be available starting **Friday, Nov. 29**, which is Black Friday itself.

Walmart has also introduced a novel element this year: deals will be released throughout the events, rather than only at the beginning.

### Cyber Monday at Walmart

Walmart will conclude its holiday promotions with a Cyber Monday event starting **Sunday, Dec. 1** at 5 p.m. ET for Walmart+ members, and 8 p.m. ET for everyone else. This sale will be available only online and through the Walmart app, continuing until **Monday, Dec. 2**.

### Walmart’s AI Shopping Assistant

As part of its festive promotions, Walmart is broadening the beta test of its new AI-powered shopping assistant to more users. This tool, found within the Walmart app, is aimed at assisting customers in discovering products and making purchasing choices through natural, conversational engagements.

### Price Matching and Return Policy

Walmart has stated that it will not price match if an item bought during a Black Friday Deals event is later available at a lower price. This diverges from policies at competitors like [Best Buy](https://www.bestbuy.com/site/help-topics/best-buy-holiday-faqs/pcmcat748300621076.c?id=pcmcat748300621076) and [Target](https://help.target.com/help/subcategoryarticle?childcat=Holiday+Help&parentcat=Holiday+Help&searchQuery=search+help), which offer price matching during their holiday promotions. Nevertheless, Walmart’s extended holiday return policy allows most items purchased through Dec. 31 to be returned until Jan. 31, 2025.

### Walmart’s Black Friday Store Hours

For those who enjoy shopping in-store, Walmart outlets will be open from **6 a.m. to 11 p.m.** local time on Black Friday, Nov. 29. As noted earlier, this is when the second Black Friday Deals event will be available in stores.

Walmart has also confirmed that all its locations will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, enabling employees to celebrate the holiday with their families.
