Conan O’Brien has been named as the host for the 2025 Oscars, and his *Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend* podcast co-hosts, Sona Movsesian and Matt Gourley, are excited to participate.

In a lighthearted conversation, featured in the clip above, O’Brien assesses the contributions each of them can make. He swiftly dismisses Gourley’s suggestion but consents to let Movsesian take charge of “the first 40 minutes” of the event to demonstrate an array of accents.

“I’m fairly certain I don’t need to run this by anyone at the Academy,” O’Brien quips. “I suspect they’ve handed me the keys to the entire show—that’s my intuition. So I suppose what I say is final. Therefore, you will be in charge for the first 40 minutes.”
