*Fear Street: Prom Queen Reveals Launch Date in Spooky Teaser*

Netflix’s *Fear Street* trilogy stands out as one of the platform’s standout horror series. Drawing inspiration from R.L. Stine’s legendary *Fear Street* novels, director Leigh Janiak developed an electrifying slasher saga that transported viewers through 1994, 1978, and ultimately 1666, intertwining a captivating narrative of witchcraft and forbidden romance. Now, the franchise advances with *Fear Street: Prom Queen*, helmed by Matt Palmer (*Calibre*).

Will this latest chapter meet the high standards set by Janiak’s celebrated trilogy? A newly unveiled teaser provides a sneak peek of what lies ahead, along with an official release date.

Taking place in 1988 during the prom season in Shadyside, *Fear Street: Prom Queen* centers on the intense rivalry among Shadyside High’s popular girls, all competing for the sought-after prom queen crown. Yet, two significant disturbances upend the situation: a defiant outsider challenges the established social order, and, more disturbingly, participants start to vanish without a trace. As tensions escalate, prom night is set to be memorable—for better or for worse.

The film showcases a talented ensemble cast including India Fowler, Suzanna Son, Fina Strazza, Chris Klein, David Iacono, Ella Rubin, and Ariana Greenblatt, with appearances by Lili Taylor and Katherine Waterston. But who will make it through to possibly witness a sequel? The revelations will emerge this spring.

*Fear Street: Prom Queen* debuts worldwide on Netflix on May 23.
