Music legend Quincy Jones celebrated with a lively tribute at the 2025 Oscars

After the ceremony’s poignant **In Memoriam** segment—which honored icons such as **Gene Hackman, James Earl Jones, Maggie Smith, and David Lynch**—Grammy-winning performer **Queen Latifah** took the spotlight to lead an exuberant celebration of Jones’ legacy. The tribute showcased a lively rendition of *The Wiz* classic, **”Ease On Down the Road.”**

Latifah was welcomed by **Whoopi Goldberg**, an Academy Award winner, and **Oprah Winfrey**, an Academy Award nominee, both of whom set the tone for the tribute by honoring Black excellence. *”When we discuss Black excellence, Quincy is at the forefront,”* Goldberg expressed.
