### What is *Connections: Sports Edition*?
This new *NYT* word game was developed in collaboration with *The Athletic*, the sports-centric publication of the New York Times. [*Connections*](https://mashable.com/article/nyt-connections-hint-answer-today-february-24-2024) is accessible on both web browsers and mobile devices, inviting players to group four words that share a common theme.
Each puzzle contains 16 words, split into four categories. These categories could encompass anything from book titles to software names, nations, and beyond. Though multiple words may appear to connect, there is only one correct answer.
When you correctly identify all four words within a set, they are eliminated from the board. However, wrong guesses count as errors, and players are permitted up to four mistakes before the game concludes.
