Samsung Introduces Phone Designs That Bend, Flex, and Fold in All Directions

As I anticipated all along, **Samsung** possesses the capability to create even more foldable phones—they’re just not prepared to unveil it to us yet.

During **MWC Barcelona**, Samsung Display presented a remarkable selection of foldable, stretchable, and bendable phone and tablet prototypes, showcasing the significant advances in OLED display technology.

One notable prototype was a vertically tri-folding phone. When folded, a small section of the display remains exposed, acting as a status screen to display vital information such as the time, date, and battery percentage. While it may not match the practicality of the **Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6**, it undoubtedly boasts a cooler aesthetic.

Samsung also showcased multiple larger prototypes that can fold or bend into three sections, enabling transitions between phone, phablet, and tablet modes.

Perhaps the most impressive innovation was a **stretchable display** that extends outward when necessary, producing a 3D effect. This design had to be viewed from the side to fully grasp its distinctive protruding feature.

Naturally, none of these concepts are currently available for purchase—and they may never reach the market. However, the technology behind them is sure to influence upcoming Samsung products.
