During Qualcomm’s SXSW session titled *”AI is the New UI,”* on Tuesday, **Will.i.am** showcased the AI personas embedded within his **FYI.AI** application. Fueled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipset, these AI personas strive to render artificial intelligence more approachable by incorporating the “flavor and energy” of authentic individuals from various communities.

*”This isn’t about replacing culture,”* **Will.i.am** stated. *”It’s about enriching it, providing users with AI that engages them in a manner that feels genuine.”*

For those who might not be aware, **FYI.AI** serves as an AI-enhanced productivity platform for iOS and Android, tailored for creators. It assists users in organizing projects, coordinating calendars, summarizing group discussions, making calls, sending messages, and much more—essentially acting as a comprehensive digital assistant designed to consolidate numerous applications.

The AI personas are a component of **RAiDiO.FYI**, a fresh **FYI.AI** feature that emulates a classic radio experience by delivering curated content and conversational AI. Imagine it as a more interactive rendition of Spotify DJ, where users can truly chat with the AI.

During the discussion, **Will.i.am** presented an AI persona dubbed *”Flowing with the Vibes,”* intended to embody a young Black woman. However, instead of feeling like a genuine depiction, the persona seemed excessively rehearsed, delivering phrases such as, *”You know I gotta keep it real with you, always bringing that authenticity,”* and *”Chaaa, what’s up my peeps!”*
