Eight Sleep has introduced its latest sleep technology: the Pod 5. Building on the achievements of its earlier Pod models, the Pod 5 showcases advanced features intended to improve your sleep journey through intelligent temperature control, adjustable elevation, and real-time biometric monitoring. What distinguishes this version is the incorporation of AI technology, delivering deeper insights and more adaptive modifications to your sleep setting.

The Pod 5 system consists of four primary elements: a mattress cover, a blanket, a base, and a hub. The mattress cover resembles a fitted sheet and permits dual-zone temperature management, spanning from 55°F to 110°F. The new hydro-powered blanket amplifies this capability, providing double the cooling and heating efficiency for a more customized sleep environment.

The adjustable base is compatible with most bed frames or can function as a standalone unit with an optional leg kit. It allows you to raise your head for increased comfort and can even sense snoring, automatically modifying its position to help minimize it.

A notable aspect of the Pod 5 is the revamped hub, now featuring an integrated surround sound speaker. This speaker emits soothing, white-noise-style audio to help calm your nervous system and encourage deeper rest—all while occupying minimal space.

Perhaps the most striking enhancement is the AI-driven Health Check function. This virtual sleep coach tracks your cardiovascular and respiratory well-being using sensors integrated into the mattress cover—eliminating the need for a wearable device. If it identifies irregular patterns in your heart rate or breathing, it will notify you via the Eight Sleep app, allowing you to take proactive measures for your health.
