Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has gained notoriety for his contentious and often disturbing behaviors, so it wasn’t too shocking when it came to light that he recently took his grandchildren for a swim in a creek infamous for its elevated sewage contamination levels. This event drew attention from The Daily Show, where host Jordan Klepper couldn’t help but comment.
“At this point, it seems like RFK Jr. is deliberately trying to be repulsive,” Klepper remarked in a recent broadcast. “Does he just pull up Google Maps and type in ‘gross things nearby’?”
Kennedy himself posted pictures from the outing on X (formerly Twitter), referring to it as a Mother’s Day adventure that involved a splash in Rock Creek. Nevertheless, the National Park Service states that swimming and wading in Rock Creek are strictly forbidden due to hazardous bacteria levels.
“These pictures are incredibly odd,” Klepper continued. “The fact that he went swimming in jeans might actually be the most ordinary aspect of the entire tale.”
