Even though time has moved on, both the internet and actress Isabela Merced aren’t ready to let him off the hook.

During a recent segment on The Tonight Show, Merced — known for her role in HBO’s The Last of Us — cleverly referenced the cringe-worthy encounter while speaking with Fallon. The host had just shared his thoughts on how frightening he found the game adaptation of Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us.

“That’s got to be one of the scariest video games I’ve ever played in my life,” Fallon stated.

Without hesitation, Merced retorted: “Was that the game you were busy with when you awkwardly flubbed your date with Nicole Kidman?”

Fallon’s reply? A bashful grin and a swift change of topic: “It’s wonderful to meet you, but we’re out of time.”
