New iPhone 17 Leak Unveils Initial Close-Up of Upcoming Apple Smartphones

How would you feel about catching an early glimpse of Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro Max? Well, it might just be possible.

Leaker Majin Bu recently posted a brief video titled “iPhone 17 Pro is stunning.” The video showcases a hand holding a device that resembles the speculated iPhone 17 Pro Max; the device is non-operational but is shown from multiple angles. It boasts a sizeable, rectangular, transparent camera protrusion that spans the width of the phone. The phone’s metallic frame features slightly rounded, soft edges.

So what’s going on? Is this the genuine iPhone 17 Pro Max?

Most likely not. It’s more probable that this is a meticulously crafted and convincing 3D model inspired by previous rumors and reports regarding the forthcoming phone.

Bu also has a similarly designed dummy model of the standard iPhone 17 and shared a side-by-side comparison between the two models in an image.

Ultimately, he posted a comparison between the iPhone 16 Pro and the (speculated) iPhone 17 Pro camera setups, indicating that the primary distinction is the camera bump size, with everything else looking fairly similar (apart from the flash and LiDAR scanner being repositioned to the side).

Naturally, the actual differences, based on rumors, are expected to be internal: The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are rumored to include a 48-megapixel telephoto camera, an upgraded 24-megapixel front camera, and 12GB of RAM, among other enhancements.

We’ll discover the truth behind this in September when Apple is anticipated to unveil the iPhone 17 series phones.
