In 2023, Ollie Forsyth, the individual behind New Economies, found that 33 percent of creators were embracing AI. This year, the figure has risen to 80 percent. The creator economy is still in its infancy, rendering future advancements and transformations challenging to foresee. Nevertheless, projections suggest it could evolve into a nearly $500 billion sector, underscoring the necessity for precise predictions. At Forsyth’s presentation titled “Mapping the Modern Creator Economy: Trends, Tensions, and What Comes Next” during VidCon 2025, he highlighted that the trajectory of the creator economy is significantly dependent on AI.
Forsyth contended that every creator should prioritize AI, as AI tools will empower creators to enhance their adaptability and productivity. AI will assist them in conserving time for tasks such as administration, finances, brand collaborations, marketing, and beyond, as startups leverage AI to tackle these issues.
Beyond adaptability, AI enables creators to be “global from Day One,” Forsyth remarked. For instance, MrBeast, who communicates solely in English, has substantial audiences in Spain and India due to AI dubbing services, with his most viewed videos being dubbed in nearly a dozen languages.
An increasing number of individuals dream of becoming creators, and more media companies are relying on creators to achieve their objectives. This is reflected in the surge of creator-driven podcasts that featured interviews with presidential candidates in 2024 in contrast to traditional media channels.
“It’s an excellent time to be a creator,” Forsyth declared.
