Amazon has revealed the schedule for its October Prime Big Deal Days event, kicking off on Oct. 7 this year.
Even though we are still in September, some of you might be gearing up for holiday shopping, making this news quite timely. While Black Friday traditionally marks the beginning of the holiday shopping season, Amazon is taking an early lead. The October Prime Day, referred to as Prime Big Deal Days, returns with a plethora of deals to jumpstart your gift shopping.
We have just recovered from July’s Prime Day, which was the longest ever, spanning four days. Prime Big Deal Days will be shorter but still brimming with discounts. Now that Amazon has unveiled all the specifics, let’s delve in.
When will Prime Big Deal Days 2025 take place?
Mark your calendars… Prime Big Deal Days is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 7 and Wednesday, Oct. 8. Unlike this year’s Prime Day, which lasted four days from July 8 to 11, Prime Big Deal Days will be limited to just 48 hours. Anticipate substantial savings during this timeframe, as Amazon generally offers thousands of deals across various categories.
Amazon events typically commence at midnight on the West Coast, so this year’s event is likely to begin around 3:00 a.m. ET on Oct. 7. You must have a Prime membership to take part in the sale, so if you don’t have an account, think about signing up for a free trial or reinstating an old membership.
When does Prime Big Deal Days 2025 wrap up?
Prime Big Deal Days will finish on Oct. 8. Although this may appear short, there’s no need to be concerned. During major shopping events, offers commonly extend past the official conclusion of the sale.
Who is eligible to shop during Prime Big Deal Days?
Similar to Prime Day, you need to be a Prime member to access the discounts. If you’re not currently a Prime member, now is a perfect opportunity to register. Otherwise, you’ll forfeit the savings that Prime Big Deal Days presents.
Will there be rival sales?
When Amazon initiates a shopping event, it’s typical for other retailers to launch their own anti-Prime promotions. In 2024, Target hosted Circle Week from Oct. 6 to 12, overlapping with last year’s Prime Big Deal Days. While the retailer has yet to announce a comparable sale for 2025, it’s quite possible. Additionally, we expect Best Buy and Walmart to introduce their own anti-Prime Day promotions.
