As reported by Android Authority, the ability to retract text messages is now broadly accessible to Android users. By selecting a sent text and clicking the trashcan icon, you can opt to remove the message just for yourself or for everyone in the conversation.

Android Authority highlighted this feature back in February, and it seems to be open to the public now. Interestingly, Apple rolled out this functionality in iOS before Google did for Android; iOS users have been capable of editing and retracting text messages for a while.

Nonetheless, this feature will assist in steering clear of uncomfortable discussions. The most effective way to avert such moments is to refrain from sending dubious texts initially.
