Exciting news for *Severance* enthusiasts: Apple TV+ has officially extended the popular series for a third season.

Given that *Severance* holds the title of Apple TV+’s most-viewed show, per the press release, the renewal comes as little surprise. Nevertheless, it’s still reassuring to know that some of the unresolved questions from Season 2 will ultimately be answered.

The Season 2 finale concluded with yet another intense cliffhanger. Mark S. (Adam Scott) succeeded in rescuing his outtie’s wife, Gemma (Dichen Lachman), only to forsake her for Helly (Britt Lower) when he reverted to his innie persona. The final sighting of Mark and Helly shows them sprinting through Lumon’s severed floor, ensnared in what seems like an unresolvable predicament.

Sharing his enthusiasm, Scott remarked in a press release, “I couldn’t be more thrilled to return to work with Ben, Dan, the extraordinary cast and crew, Apple, and the entire *Severance* team. Oh and by the way – not a big deal – but if you happen to see my innie, please keep this under wraps. Thanks.”

Executive producer and director Ben Stiller also chimed in, stating, “Creating *Severance* has been one of the most creatively stimulating experiences I’ve ever participated in. Although I have no recollection of this, I’m informed that making Season 3 will be just as enjoyable, though any memory of these upcoming events will be eternally and irrevocably erased from my mind as well.”
